Man Dragged Off United Airlines Flight

1605
The horrific video of a passenger getting dragged down the aisle of United Airlines Flight 3411 at Chicago O’Hare International Airport has been going viral for the past few days. The flight, which was overbooked, asked if any volunteers would leave so that their own staff members could take their paid seats. When too few volunteers came forward, they decided to choose by ‘random selection’, which passengers would have to be ejected. The man in the video, who was later identified as Dr. David Dao, a 69-year-old Vietnamese doctor from Kentucky, was one of those chosen. Fellow passengers heard him arguing that he could not leave the flight because he was a doctor, and he had appointments with his patients the next day that could not be cancelled. Things turned violent as Law Enforcement instead decided to physically drag him off the plane in what could only be described as ‘terrifying’. Dao is seen in another video coming back onto the plane, his whole face bleeding. He is currently receiving medical care at a Chicago hospital and his family has issued a statement thanking the public for all of their support. They have also hired two lawyers, which may suggests that the family is considering suing the airline. The CEO of United Airlines has issued an apology.
