Adnan Siddiqui Gets Visa to Continue Working on Bollywood Film

1862
Pakistani actor, Adnan Siddiqui, has received his visa so he can continue working on Bollywood film Mom. Ignoring the tension that exists between Pakistan and Indian, Siddiqui is determined to finish his latest venture. Bollywood is a thriving industry filled with many opportunities. Adnan told The Express Tribune that Pakistani actors should be permitted (a visa) to complete their projects. Mom is being directed by Ravi Udyawar, and produced by Boney Kapoor and veteran Indian actress Sridevi. Sridevi will also be playing Siddiqui’s wife. Fellow Pakistani actress, Sajal Ali, will be making her Bollywood debut as well in the film playing their daughter. After cross-boarder firing sent many Pakistani actors and actresses back home from Bollywood, Pakistan began banning Indian films being played in their local theatres as a form of retaliation. Hopefully, this move will be a step in the right direction to help heal the cinema relations between the two countries. By Rhea Braganza
