Announced as the cover face of the August issue of Forbes, Kylie Jenner is titled as the 27th richest self-made woman in the United States and the youngest billionaire ever with an estimated net worth of $900 million, a fortune largely sourced from her cosmetic company, Kylie Cosmetics.

Remember the “Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge” in 2015? That was when Kylie’s fame and popularity grew to a whole new level. Thanks to her lip job scandal, which was cleverly marketed as Kylie's trademark, a trend and dream of many young girls, Kylie came out with her very first beauty product, the Kylie Lip Kit, which sold out in minutes. Needless to say, her cosmetic empire bloomed from there on. In only 3 years time, with a small exclusive team and her mother, Kris Jenner in charge of the managing, Kylie Cosmetics has built a $900 million fortune while Kylie is just 20 years old.

Kylie Jenner is the best example of the influence and power of today’s social media fame game. She has an Instagram following of 110 million and millions more on Snapchat and Twitter. Factoring in her family’s fame that started from the reality tv show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and her boss lady work ethic, Kylie Jenner’s cosmetic empire is almost a guaranteed success.
