Iranian actress Taraneh Alidoosti took to Twitter yesterday to speak out against U.S. President Trump's order to temporarily ban and suspend visas for many immigrants and refugees. Another order will be blocking individuals with visas from Syria, Iraq, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Alidoosti stars alongside Shahab Hosseini in "The Salesman", nominated for Best Foreign Language film this year at the Academy Awards.
Just last year with the movement #OscarsSoWhite, boycotting the Oscars has been a way for people to speak out against injustice. "Trumps visa ban for Iranians is racist", Alidoosti tweets. "I won't attend the #AcademyAwards 2017 in protest".
