If you’re part of the 2,000 plus guest list for the nuptials of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, you’re required to dress up for the occasion. Whether if it is the actual case that you’re invited or just want to dress up while you’re watching the wedding (because why not, right?!?) We have some guidelines on how you can achieve the perfect look and feel like one of the princesses and princes.
1. You’re outfit must be below the knee or just right above the knee, the royal wedding is a formal event after all. The aim for this type of occasion is to be conservative and formal at the same time, meaning a little black dress is definitely not an option. A good outfit is something like what Victoria Beckham wore for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding.
2. Most of the outfits that we've seen from previous royal weddings have their shoulders covered while maintaining the dressed-up look that suits for the ocassion. 3. Women invited for the occasion often wear stockings as part of their outfits. Stockings are often seen as old-fashion and a sign of modesty and, thus, is seen as an acknowledgement of traditions. Also, wearing stockings gives that flawless look to the legs that wouldn't be the case without them. 4. Finish off the look with a fascinator. It wouldn’t be a royal wedding if it weren’t for these fancy and beautifully-designed headpieces, right?. It's a good statement piece to complete the outfit given the fact that the dress code for the event is most likely going to be conservative. It gives the outfit a little bit more excitement and adds a personal touch to it as seen on Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, two of Queen Elizabeth II's granddaughters.By Mary Angeline Joven
