There are definitely some crazy beauty trends out there like vampire facials and fish pedicures, all promising to be cure all treatments for soft, clear skin. However there are some pretty unique beauty tools and gadgets out there too!
Jade Roller – This definitely isn’t new or a gadget, but it’s a handy little beauty tool used by royalty and high society in China since the 17th century. Basically, you apply your various serums, lotions and creams and use either rolling end, made of pure jade to push the products deeper into your skin. Essentially it is supposed to decrease puffiness and under-eye circles, and even minimize the look of fine lines while also increasing circulation. I’ve actually been using this for about 2 months, and while I haven’t noticed any obvious differences in my skin, it is definitely soothing, cooling and a calming addition to my skin routine. You can get your own jade roller from Amazon for $12.99. Sonic Blend Brush – Michael Todd came out with the first motorized makeup brush! It’s supposed to evenly apply your foundation without any clumps with an airbrushed finish. Personally I've always preferred brushes to beauty blenders, so I might give this a try. If you're interested, you can pick one up from Bed Bath and Beyond on sale for $119.99 Nu Face – I’m sure you’ve seen your favourite beauty guru’s on IG or Youtube using this! It claims that it can improve facial contour, tone, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, basically everything that the Jade Roller is supposed to do, but with one hell of a price tag; the NUface toning device can be purchased at Sephora for $239.00.By Daman Grewal.
