It's been a wonderful start for Canadian athletes at the 2018 Winter Olympics! Here are some of the country's latest achievements!
1. Canada took gold in the Team Figure Skating event after splendid performances by Patrick Chan, Gabrielle Daleman, Pair Skaters Meagan Duhmale and Eric Radford and Ice Dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir. Eric Radford is also the first openly gay athlete to win gold at the winter games.
2. Mikael Kingsbury of Deux-Montagnes, Quebec wins gold in men's mogul.
3. Laurie Blouin from Stoneham, Quebec claims the silver medal in ladies' snowboard slopestyle final despite her injury and horrible weather conditions.
4. Quebec native Max Parrot and Mark McMorris from Saskatchewan claim 2nd and 3rd spots in men's slopestyle.
5. Justine Dufour-Lapointe captures the silver medal on Olympic freestyle moguls.
6. Ted Jan Bloemen secures silver medal in Men's 5000m speed skating.
