Canada’s medal tally rises to 14 with Drouin’s Gold

2016
Slow and steady, with ladies leading the march, TeamCanada is racking up golds, silvers and bronzes at Rio. With Derek Drouin leaping to his gold medal win in high jump yesterday, the first gold won by a male member of the Canadian contingent, we now have four gold medals at this Olympics. This is a marked improvement from the team’s performance at London 2012 where only one gold medal was brought home. The total medals tally was 18, including five silvers and 12 bronzes.
