Tomorrow Toronto will welcome its first UNIQLO location in Eaton Centre. The Japanese fashion retailer will be integrating with local culture by featuring a curated collection of items from four local Toronto shops in an instalment called “UNIQLO meets Toronto”. In exchange local shops across Toronto, like the Drake General Store have been offering UNIQLO items for the past few weeks to prepare for the grand opening.
Establishing itself as a watershed in UNIQLO’s western market, UNIQLO Eaton Centre will not only be the first Canadian location but also the first North American location to offer the UNIQLO U collection. And to give back to their new friends up north, UNIQLO is giving away a trip for two to Tokyo. To enter you have to be over 18 and in line outside UNIQLO’s Eaton Centre before they cut the ribbon tomorrow morning, Friday September 30, at 10 a.m. For terms and conditions visit Uniqlo Canada on facebook.
If you can't win the trip, there's more to look forward to. The first 500 people in line will receive a limited edition UNIQLO Toronto tote bag and NEO coffee bar will sweeten your time with coffee, tea and treats for shoppers waiting in line. Throughout its opening weekend, look out for special promotions on some of their bestsellers, including the Ultra Light Down Parks and the Extra Fine Merino sweaters. We're looking forward to stocking up on winter apparel.
