What is regarded as a highly influential and inspiring duo, Kate Hudson and Michael Kors have decided to take a major philantrophic move to help diminish world hunger. The Golden Globe winning actress's humanitarian capabilities are combined with the fashion label's unparalleled innovation to support Watch Hunger Stop, Michael Kors's annual campaign to raise awareness and funds for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
WFP, the largest agency to tackle this worldwide dilemma, has given Hudson the privilege to be an ambassador, flying her to the Cambodian province of Siem Reap to witness how funds are being used to feed and support children in need. In response, limited-edition Michael Kors watches and sunglasses are currently being endorsed and sold, with 100 meals donated to the agency for each watch or pair of sunglasses that is purchased. The Michael Kors Access Sofie touchscreen smartwatch is priced at $525 CAD while the Lon sunglasses are priced at $199 CAD in both Michael Kors stores and online in Canada.
You may also donate directly by visiting the United Nation's World Food Programme or if you are a US resident, you can text "MKHunger" to 5055 to make $5 gift (message and data rates may apply).
