The impoverished Rohingya people of Burma, have been described as one of the most persecuted people on earth, yet most people have never even heard of them. Their land has been plagued by extreme cases of violence, and Canadian humanitarian groups are calling for an end to their decades of suffering in silence.
In a bid to raise public awareness of the plight of the Rohingya, Canadians in Support of Refugees in Dire Need (CSRDN) and Justice For All's Burma Task Force are organizing a public information session and photo exhibit on the Rohingya refugee crisis today, Friday May 5th, at 7 p.m. in the Noel Ryan Auditorium, Mississauga Central Library, 301 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga.
Admission to this event is free and you can register online here.
