62nd Filmfare Awards 2017

Saturday, January 14 marked the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards, which was held at the NSCI Dome in Worli, Mumbai. The award show is presented every year by The Times Group in order to recognize and honour the stars of Bollywood. Several big names in Bollywood took home a prestigious award for their outstanding work within the past year, which included Aamir Khan bagging the Best Actor Award for his performance in 'Dangal' and Alia Bhatt's groundbreaking performance of a Bihari migrant in 'Udta Punjab'. As well, Shatrughan Sinha, who has spent almost five decades in the film industry, was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Fan favourites included 'Neerja' and 'Kapoor & Sons (Since 1921)' which both won five awards.
