Our February/March cover girl Priyanka Chopra is working on a new project. Chopra is set to star in and play the role of Mary Kom, an upcoming film named after the Olympic medal winner. The actress is said to have been working hard to be physically fit for the film and has been making sure she is in fine tune with infamous boxer, Mary Kom. "Mary Kom' is the story of every woman who wants to be larger than she is meant to be. Inspiring to do every scene...can't believe only 15 days left to complete the film. It's been so tumultuous yet wonderful," Priyanka posted on her Twitter page. Chopra has also made several trips to Kom's homeland Manipur to further understand the world champion's character better. Priyanka observed her life there closely and the struggles she faced. "Her story is same as that of mine. I too struggled when I came in the industry and cried alone. It is basically the story of every girl, who has a dream," Chopra said, "The film is about the trials and tribulations of Mary, who was born to landless farmer in Manipur and subsequently rose to make a mark for herself as a boxer." Directed by Omung Kumar, the film is set to release on October 2nd.
