On Wednesday night in New York the city's it-girls gathered at Barney's Co-op in Chelsea to celebrate the rebirth of ICB. Those who haven't heard of ICB needn't feel ashamed, the Japanese brand hasn't been available in North America since 2002. Previous designers for the brand include Michael Kors and Victor&RolfThe ten year drought is over, however, and everyone's favourite CFDA winner Prabal Gurung has taken over as the brand's new creative head. The party was hosted by bloggers Leandra Medine and Elin Kling and socialite Hannah Bronfman, and featured musical guests Tanlines, Gurung's favourite band. The inspiration behind the clothes came from Prabal's many it-girl muses. Prabal Gurung describes his customer as “a girl who is transitioning from getting to know herself to knowing herself.” The ICB collection features wearable, quirky pieces and Gurung's signature prints.
