Kristen Stewart’s Public Apology to Robert Pattinson

By: Frances Du Turns out the rumors were correct. Kristen Stewart has cheated on her long-term boyfriend and Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson with her Snow White and the Huntsmen director, Rupert Sanders. This news is also troubling for Sanders, 41, who is married to British model Liberty Ross. Together they have two children. Right before the scandal broke out, Ross mysteriously tweeted, “Wow,” before disabling her account, suggesting she was left blindsided by the affair. In a just released statement, Stewart apologies for her infidelity: "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry." For the past few hours Twi-Hards (the most obsessed fans of the beloved Twilight franchise) have been voicing their strong displeasure on Twitter. Twitter comments:
  • I try to pretend like I don’t care about such things, but Kristen Stewart’s apology to Robert Pattinson is absolutely insane (@AndySwift)
  • I refuse to work until Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson make it through this rough patch (@fortunefunny)
  • I have never had more second-hand embarrassment for Kristen Stewart than today, and that’s saying a lot because she’s always embarrassing. (@aurosan)
So far there has been no official response from Robert Pattinson, but he in the past he has expressed his displeasure over cheaters. Pattinson admits “But there’s a thing I’ve never got: That is, why do people cheat? I can understand the impulse, but not how you can keep two relationships going at the same time for so long. There’s no telling how this will affect the upcoming Snow White sequel or the promotion tour for Breaking Dawn Part 2 which comes out in November. Can you say awkward? Yikes.

Promoting the final installment of Twilight at Comic-Con only two weeks ago.
