By Kaitlynn E-A Smith When Yeezus speaks, he expects the whole world to listen. His newest outrage is pointed toward the iconic fashion house Louis Vuitton. While in Paris for fashion week in October, Kanye West revealed his distaste in a recent interview with 92.3 NOW radio. “What happened was while I was out in Paris I wanted to meet with the head of Louis Vuitton, he said I don’t understand why we need to meet with you. I said, ‘let me explain to you why you need to meet with me.’ Everybody in New York City right now don’t buy any Louis Vuitton until after January. Now do you want to meet with me? Now do you want to meet with me? Influence. They think that I don’t realize my power.” Apparently the French fashion house did not see the benefits of a meeting with the man who compares himself to Jesus. Also back in October, West told a Los Angeles radio talk show, "If I had to opportunity to design for Louis Vuitton now I wouldn't because the prices are just too extreme." Also adding that he does not want to send a message that kids do not have to save up so much to be a part of his ideas. West recently launched a co-opted collection with French label A.P.C. that sold out in days. The price tag? $120 for a plain white T-shirt and a $280 hoodie. Louis Vuitton has yet to release a statement, but the brand is obviously busy during the turnover as Marc Jacobs leaves and Nicolas Ghesquière enters. Is the denied meeting a missed opportunity for Vuitton, or just a deflated ego for West?
