Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) Comes to TORONTO!

By Priya Kumar Fashion's Night Out was an initiative started by Vogue Magazine and the CFDA in 2009 to encourage consumers to...well, shop! Times were and still are tough and the fashion industry has really felt it. The team at Vogue envisioned the night as being a great opportunity for designers, celebs and fashionphiles to mingle, get great deals on the season's latest looks and participate in a variety of activities all across any given city. In the past FNO has been restricted to cities that are home to one of the 19 editions of Vogue, but this year Torontonians can rejoice because the event that democratizes the fashion party scene is coming to our own backyard. While the event has drawn quite a bit of attention for retailers, the event has not gone without criticism. Many believe the event is a PR scheme under the guise of a charitable event to get the masses excited about spending their hard earned money in even harder times.  Others say the event is like Boxing Day and Black Friday combined. One attendee to NY's FNO in particular said it was "Tiffany's...with candy." Haters aside, we'll be out in full force.  Check out the list of parties below from Toronto Life...where will you be going on Thursday, September 6th? All parties run from 6PM to 11PM unless specified:
