TFI: Fashion Your Future

If you’re an aspiring accessory designer between the ages of 20 and 29, you’ll be excited about Toronto Fashion Incubator’s (TFI) newest program, Fashion Your Future. Starting July 20, TFI will launch its free 18-day boot camp designed to train 60 ambitious hopefuls on how to develop a successful accessory line. From those 60, 10 lucky participants will be chosen to participate in the second round and produce a Spring 2016 line with the help of a mentor and a TFI micro grant funded by the Government of Ontario. The top three collections from the bunch will then go on to be featured at TFI’s Press & Buyers Trade Show taking place at World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto late October. Toronto Fashion Incubator is designed to support upcoming fashion entrepreneurs and shows them the ropes of the glamorous industry. Established in 1987, this award winning non-profit organization was the world’s first fashion “incubator” working to nurture fashion designers and to provide them with the skills they need to thrive in the business by providing required resources and offering invaluable mentorship opportunities. TFI encourages youth to attend its free information sessions to learn more about "Fashion Your Future." Times for the info sessions are listed below.
