Since launching their line in 2007, Peter Pilotto has come a long way and has reached the heights of becoming a red carpet fashion fave. It's no surprise that the British Fashion Council (BFC) announced that Pilotto has won this year’s BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. Pilotto and his co-designer Christopher De Vos, will take home £200,000 to help grow their business. They will also get a year of mentoring from an established player in the industry. Despite their tough competition such as fellow London design stars Emilia Wickstead, House of Holland, Mary Katrantzou, Osman, and Zoe Jordan, this award was nonetheless well-deserved (and about time, if you ask us). "Christopher and Peter are deserved winners of this year's Fund award," said Alexandra Shulman, editor of BritishVogue and chair of the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund. "They have remained true to their vision of a print and colour-focused brand, but have managed to expand and grow the business to a level where they can now compete on an international stage. It's a pleasure to be able to support them." We can't wait to see what Peter Pilotto has in store! Speaking of store -- Pilotto's collection for Target will be launched this coming Sunday, February 9th. It's only February and it is already beginning to shape up to be Pilotto's year.
