Nars Previews Guy Bordin Inspired Line on Snapchat

By Kaitlynn E-A Smith   Nars has devised a new line of products inspired by famed French fashion photographer Guy Bordin. The cosmetics company revealed that they will be teasing the products on the photo and video sharing app, Snapchat. Snapchat_logo The application lets you take photos and videos and send them to members of your friend list. The difference is that Snapchat deletes the content seconds after it is viewed. The application itself is available for Apple and Android devices and can be downloaded from each device’s app store. Women's Wear daily said the line will "evoke the Parisian fashion photographer's ambitious, provocative work." Bourdin, who passed away in 1991, was the first photographer to create a complex narrative and associate it with a fashion item. Surreal, exotic, mysterious and sensual, he created a surrealist and sometimes shocking world in photos that had yet to be seen. Bourdin influenced the artistic work of Francois Nars, the creator of the namesake brand who was also a make-up artist and photographer. Nars, which is now owned by Shiseido has already released a collection inspired by Andy Warhol. The collection will be available in stores and online October 15th. Follow Narsissist on Snapchat and look out for the quick glimpses into the collection.
