Marc Jacobs Pop Up Shop Doesn’t Want Your Money

Correction: Marc Jacobs Pop Up Tweetshop. This one-of-a-kind pop-up shop will accept tweets and Instagram posts as forms of payment instead of money. Posts tagged with the hashtag #MJDaisyChain will garner more likes, giving the poster the opportunity to be entered in a contest to win items such as handbags, accessories, and more. The Tweetshop will debut during New York Fashion Week and will be open from February 7 - 9. Fashion week goers will be able to find the shop in Soho on West Broadway Street during the hours of 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. In addition to solely offering social media exchange, the shop will provide shoppers with a Daisy photo booth, food, drinks, and a free Wi-Fi lounge (we think the Wi-Fi lounge should be necessary anyway -- given the amount of social media posts that weekend). If you're wondering what Marc Jacobs gets out of this -- it's free marketing of course. The best Instagram photo-of-the-day will win a handbag by Marc. Who said Fashion Week wasn't affordable?
