Canadian brand Lululemon is recalling its hip-hugging luon black yoga pants from all locations and online for being too sheer, resulting in a temporary shortage of the iconic pants. The athletic wear giant says they want clients to be able to downward dog with confidence so they are investigating how the quality of their products was compromised, especially since there have been no changes in manufacturers or the materials used, and to prevent future defective pieces from entering the market. “We regret any inconvenience this has caused for our guests. It is always our first priority to protect the quality of our fabrics that keep our guest so loyal to our products. We will accept nothing less than the very highest quality we are known for,” said Lululemon CEO Christine Day. The recall is expected to impact 17 % of women’s pants carried at all Lululemon locations and impact revenues for the first quarter. Shoppers, who have purchased the defective pants after March 1, can return them for a full refund or exchange.
