Not only is Kanye West one of the biggest influences in hip hop, but he has also evolved into a fashion icon in recent years. West has collaborated with French designer brand, A.P.C., on two occasions and in 2012 he came out with his own line, 'Kanye West' which was not received very well. Kanye has nonetheless continued to make a statement in the fashion industry with his outlook on clothing for men and women. On April 7th, West appeared at the Adidas Global Brand Conference in Germany to announce his new collaboration with the shoe brand. The musician has announced a June 2014 release date for his sneaker design entitled YEEZi. At the conference, West spoke of his love and interest for fashion, his interest in Adidas, and his creative process. You may recall Ye's recent collaboration with another popular shoe brand that happens to be Adidas' number one competitor. Last year, West came together with Nike to release the Red Octobers (which sold out immediately). However, it wasn't long until West and Nike's CEO Mark Parker bumped heads and eventually parted ways -- personally and professionally. Of course, this issue was brought up in one of West's many rants that has made his name all the more popular today (but that's neither here nor there). Look out for Yeezy's YEEZi coming soon.
