1. lululemon athletica's newest pants
Late night host Jimmy Kimmel got in on the joke with the lululemon and introduced the brand's first pair of wearable spray-on pants. lululemon featured the pants on their website, declaring them sold out at $1200 a pair (...spray can?). The copy read:
“Goodbye pants, hello comfort. Designed for lightweight flexibility and versatility, our newest innovation, Spray-On Yoga Pants, will take us to and through our practice without the fuss. The breathable, seamless construction provides next-level comfort whether we’re headed straight to class or the café.”
2. David Miller for Mayor ...again?
Toronto's mayoral race was looking to become a LOT more interesting when former Mayor David Miller was said to be running in the race once again. blogTO quotes interim campaign manager, Avril Tromper:
"David has seen the division, the broken transit promises, the public scandals that erupted after he left City Hall in 2010. [Miller] is the only candidate with a proven track record. This city needs him."
The "dark days" has been a term coined by some of the public who refer to Miller's term as Mayor. We have a feeling this news wouldn't sit well with many in real life!
3. Samsung introduces wearable tech
Samsung was able to fool many with their latest announcement. The number one tech brand introduced a wearable glove. That's right, a glove. The glove , also known as Samsung Fingers, was said to feature a 3-inch flexible UHD Super Emo-LED display; 16-megapixel camera; as well as gyro, barometer, compass, heart rate, proximity, thermometer, voice and gesture recognition sensors.
This was one of the more believable ones because, well, what can't technology do these days? It's only a matter of time before this prank becomes a real announcement among the top tech brands!
