Gucci has just announced that they will soon be launching their own cosmetics line with the help of P&G Prestige, the brand behind signature fragrances such as Gucci Guilty and Gucci Première. Caroline Casiraghi, the daughter of Princess Caroline of Monaco has been chosen to lead their upcoming cosmetics campaign. “Charlotte was a natural choice as she embodies the modern iconic Gucci woman,” said Frida Giannini, Gucci creative director. The ad campaigns will be shot by photography due Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and will roll out with the product launch in September, along with a “digital film” by Fabien Baron. The new collection is said to include eye, lip, nail and face make-up. If that wasn't enough, it will also include skin preparation products and makeup brushes. Go big or go home, right? The cosmetics line will be called none other than "Gucci Cosmetics". It's no surprise that P&G Prestige is apart of what is now Gucci's most anticipated lines. Pat McGrath, creative design director of P&G’s beauty division, is the current makeup artist for all of Gucci’s ready-to-wear shows. We can only assume McGrath is be apart of much of the product direction. We certainly cannot wait to see what Gucci Cosmetics has in store for us (pun intended).
