Dior Steals Chanel’s Creative Head Peter Philips

Earlier today on Twitter, Dior announced the newly appointed Creative and Image Director, Peter Philips. Dior’s stated that they were “delighted to announce the appointment of Mr. Peter Philips as Creative Image Director”. Dior Campaign For five years, Philips had been the Global Creative Director of Chanel makeup. His beauty designs have been visionary and awe-inspiring. His inventive use of unconventional materials, novel product lines, and artistry has on many occasions reinvigorated the fashion industry. Philips has been behind the sell-out Le Vernis hues of Jade, Particuliere, and Mimosa. He was also behind Illusion D’Ombre Eyeshadow and Chanel’s catwalk makeup looks. Even with Philips’s departure in February 2013, Philips has been globally recognised for his contributions to Chanel’s campaigns and catwalks. Chanel Campaign: Make-up by Peter Philips WWD stated that, makeup artist and photographer Tyen who has been Dior’s Creative Director of Cosmetics since 1981 will remain within LVMH. Peter Philips will now be creating and formulating makeup for Dior, as well as lead the beauty looks for Dior’s campaigns and catwalks. We are anxious to see where his visions will take us.
