Celebrities Rally on Cyntoia Brown’s Freedom

Cyntoia Brown, a victim of sex trafficking in 2004, is getting more solid support on her case, as celebs, particularly Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, and Cara Delevingne voiced their opinions via social media on Tuesday.

Kim Kardashian's post on Twitter said -

"The system has failed. Its heartbreaking to see a young girl sex trafficked then when she has the courage to fight back is jailed for life! We have to do better & do what’s right. I’ve called my attorneys yesterday to see what can be done to fix this. "

While Rihanna on Instagram said -

"did we somehow change the definition of #JUSTICE along the way?? cause..... Something is horribly wrong when the system enables these rapists and the victim is thrown away for life! To each of you responsible for this child's sentence I hope to God you don't have children because this could be your daughter being punished for punishing already!

The 29-year-old, who was 16 at the time she was sentenced to 60 years in prison, was found guilty of " first-degree premeditated murder", "first-degree felony murder" and  "aggravated robbery". Brown reportedly shot Mitchell Allen, a man who picked her up on the side of the road in Nashville, Tennessee after he solicited her for sex. The guns she used were owned by Allen and subsequently, Brown drove his truck to the nearest Walmart with his wallet. Unfortunately, the jury omitted her claim of self-defence.

Model and actress Cara Delevingne point on Instagram, “The justice system is so backwards!!! This is completely insane #freecyntoiabrown.” using the same photo of Kim and Rihanna.

What is your opinion on this prolonged matter?
