Cara Delevingne: Supermodel and… Singer?

By Kaitlynn E-A Smith British supermodel Cara Delevingne graces the pages of nearly every fashion magazine, but you may soon be exposed to her in another medium. The 21 year old from London posted a selfie from inside a recording studio with Rihanna's producer Isabella Machine, with the caption "the beginning" as an excited Cara and Isabella hold up a bottle of honey. Another photo posted by Kuk Harrell, the Grammy award winning songwriter and producer features Cara and Isabella with the caption, "history in the making." Kuk has an incredible resume behind him co-writing Rihanna's "Umbrella" and composed Beyonce's hit "Single Ladies." Rumors about Cara's foray into the music business have been rampant throughout this year. In May gossip outlets reported Cara sending demos to the executives at Roc Nation, music mogul Jay-Z's record label. In a February interview with W Magazine, she is quoted as saying, "I want to make music, I want to act, I want to sing." This turn to music may be the official start to a model-to-musician trend. Gisele Bündchen sang "All Day and All of the Night" (the Kink's 1964 hit) for the TV and web commercials as the face of H&M's new fall/winter 2013 campaign. A musical future for Cara may be the next step in her career, and she certainly surrounds herself with the right people to make it a reality. Her numerous celebrity best friends include Rita Ora and Rihanna, and only yesterday posted a picture of her with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.
