Canada to take part in Commonwealth Fashion Exchange

3170

With London Fashion Week officially kicking off today, designers and artisans from across the 52 commonwealth countries are preparing their collaborative pieces, including those from Canada, to be showcased in the Common Fashion Exchange at the Buckingham Palace.

The Commonwealth Fashion Council has collaborated with one of the Big 4 fashion weeks to support and help with the advancement of Commonwealth fashion industries. Lucian Matis, a celebrated gown designer in Toronto and Triarchy, known for sustainable denim, will be representing Canada, thanks to Canadian fashion advocate Robin Kay, the appointed board member of CFC.

The exhibit will be presented at select locations across London in February 21 and eventually in select Commonwealth countries. It will also be shown online via digital platform by Google Arts & Culture.
