By Roxanne Bildan Women love clothes. So, it comes as no surprise that Cameron Diaz loves clothes as well. The Hollywood actress has always been known for her trendy wardrobe, and bold fashion choices. (Recall: the magenta Dior gown she wore at the 2007 MET Gala or the beautiful white Valentino gown she donned at the Oscars in 2007). Recently, the long-legged beauty has been named Artistic Director at the French fashion house Pour La Victoire. She tells Women’s Wear Daily, “Pour La Victoire gives me the opportunity to create something timeless. There’s a lot I have to learn about the business. I’m interested in learning how collections are created…I want to say that it’s going to be fun, but it’s deeper than that.” Although she endorses Swiss brand Tag Heuer, the Pour La Victoire deal marks Diaz’s first creative foray in fashion; one that will give her the chance to impact the brand’s collections. Diaz will have a hand in the brand’s show and handbag collections, as well as the merchandising, marketing, and advertising aspects. Diaz is not only a spokesperson for PLV, but she also owns an undisclosed stake in the brand. The first collection will not hit stores until Spring, but PLV will be sure to include a fall and holiday campaign called “Cameron’s Picks”—a selection of products from PLV’s current collection that are Diaz’s current “favorites.” Her collection will hit North American stores next spring, but until then, be sure to check out the “Cameron’s Picks” campaign later this year!
