Black Like the Soul of FAME.

By Sijal Rehmane Lady Gaga has been hard at work all summer long promoting her latest release. No, we’re not talking about yet another album so soon after Born This Way. In fact, Lady Gaga is all set to join the never-ending roster of celebrities with a scent to their name. That’s right, now you too can walk around smelling like Momma Monster, once her new fragrance, aptly titled FAME, hits stores this September. Surely, you’ve seen the provocative promo videos the pop icon has released since July. If not, no sweat— we’ve got you covered here at SHE. You can check them out here and here. Between her intensive tour schedule and the fur-related uproar she’s been dealing with, we have no idea when Gaga would have gotten the time to work on this promo material. But hey, with fabulous visuals and a beat as catchy as this one to hype us up for what can only be an electrifying scent: we’re certainly not complaining! The scent will be available at Sephora, and the collection will include a soap called simply FAME Black Soap. The perfume, which is billed as the first of its kind in utilizing black Eau de Parfum technology— being “black like the soul of fame”— has an ingredient list that reads somewhat like a recipe for a Macbeth-inspired magic potion. “Tears of belladonna” and “crushed heart of tiger orchidea” make an appearance alongside incense and [‘pulverized’] apricot. While we certainly hope no actual bella donnas were brought to tears (not sad ones, anyway) in the making of this perfume, we at SHE are definitely looking forward to walking around exuding a little more Mother Monster than we normally do.
