Big night at the Oscar’s

920
Starting with a spectacular run down the red carpet as stars got ready to enter the theater. Fashion catches the attention of the millions while watching the Oscar’s Red Carpet starting with Reese Witherspoon and a blue and black gown by Louis Vuitton, a gorgeous Jessica Chastain with an Armani gown and red lipstick, Charlize Theron taking a big risk wearing white but beautifully displayed by Dior, Amanda Seyfried wearing Alexander McQueen, the always gorgeous Halle Berry wearing Versace, Amy Adams wearing a gorgeous pale blue Oscar de la Renta gown, Catherine Zeta-Jones gold metallic dress by Zuhair Murad and Jennifer Lawrence the new face of Dior wearing of course: Dior and of course we can’t forget the always adorable 9 year old Quvenzhane Wallis who wore Armani and who has been the youngest actress to be nominated for an Academy award. As the night started Seth MacFarlane tried to keep the jokes to minimum insults but it really did not stop him from mentioning Mel Gibson or Chris Brown jokes that got the audience booing and nervous as to whom is he going to mention next. Captain Kirk (William Shatner) helped at the beginning of the show to stop Seth from being the worst host of the Oscar’s, with the amazing opening of several starts singing and dancing that got the awards ceremony at a good start. As the night progressed we saw amazing performances by Adele, Barbara Streisand, Jennifer Hudson, Katherine Zeta Jones and the cast of Les Miserable, Michelle Obama was also present at the Oscars as a guest to present the award for best motion picture of the year from the white house. We cannot forget Jennifer Lawrence stumble down on her way to receive her award which gained her a standing ovation for which she responded “This is nuts. You guys are only standing up because I fell and you feel bad. That was embarrassing.” Also we can’t forget Kristen Stewarts who got a lot of criticism for her injured foot, her bad fitted dress to her un-brushed hair and her winning at the Razzies as worst actress last week. The biggest winnings of the night included: Daniel Day-Lewis for best actor, Ang lee for best director, Argo best motion picture of the year, Amour best foreign language, Jennifer Lawrence best actress, Ann Hathaway for best supporting actress, Adele best original song and Brave for best animated film.
