Hermès: Mystique and Luxury Entwined

Mythical on one hand by the reference to Hermès, the greek god of travel, and on the other hand by its unique and particular style: elegant and avant-garde at the same time. Created in 1837 by Thierry Hermès, “La maison Hermès” adapted itself though through the decades to become a symbol of French luxury all around the world. Loyal to its origins and formerly specialized in cavalry leather and travel accessories, Hermès has had numerous well-known and talented designers like Jean-Paul Gaultier and Christophe Lemaire bringing forth their personal vision without changing the roots of the brand. Fashion, perfume, jewelry, accessories and even tableware,today Hermès embodies  “le luxe à la française.”
