Kanye West just posted a series of photos on Twitter to advertise the Yeezy 500 Supermoon Yellow shoe. The photos featured the usual Yeezy neutral athleisure outfits and a diverse group of models, including children. Kanye’s advertising tactics remain impressive, using social media and dressing Kim in his new designs to use paparazzi pictures to push products.
Kanye’s idea for this photoshoot was intriguing, yet I was still let down. Yeezy’s vision seems to have a ton of half-naked or fully nude women pose for this campaign. Maybe this is just because Kanye sees beauty in the naked body, but if that were true, then why were the male models clothed? All of this seems to be a sad attempt to receive attention from the media, but instead of plotting how to use the offensive sexual objection of women to get attention, he should think of new designs. People love Kanye for his edginess and individuality, but is this the extent of his creativity now all we can expect?
