Oh, how a day can turn. Who thought a gesture to fight change would result in fighting the one that aimed to represent it?
James Franco was shut down after his attempt in promoting women empowerment by wearing the Time`s Up pin combating sexual misconduct. Little did he know that this gesture was the ticket—or better yet trigger—for silenced females to share their experiences of sexual offences by yours truly.
Five women unleashed their once bottled anger, including former students in which attended Franco`s acting school, Studio 4. Some even referenced specific occasions where they were victims of Franco, taking it to twitter:
Actress Violet Paley tweeted Sunday night: "Cute #TIMESUP pin James Franco. Remember the time you pushed my head down in a car towards your exposed penis & that other time you told my friend to come to your hotel when she was 17? After you had already been caught doing that to a different 17-year-old?"
Another former student actress Sarah Tither-Kaplan made allegations that Franco once removed safety guards while on set for the 2015 movie The Long Home filming an oral sex scene.
The Deuce`s star is handling it unexpectedly though. Responding to this issue on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Franco expresses: “I have my own side of this story, but I believe in these people that have been underrepresented getting their stories out, enough that I will hold back things that I could say, just because I believe in it that much.” “If I have to take a knock because I am not going to try and actively refute things, then I will because I believe in it that much,” he concluded.
Well, there you have it! There are always two sides to every story, but whichever side that is, the truth eventually always comes out.
