Moisturizing Hair Masks

By Lindsay Cooper With winter coming to a close, the harsh cold has been taken its toll. Most know to amp up skincare throughout the winter months, opting for a less intense SPF in favour of a deep level moisturizer to ward off winter rough patches. What most people don’t realize is that extreme cold can damage hair in the same way extreme heat does, making this passing season the unknown culprit of split ends and damage. So when doing damage control on your complexion with those nourishing face masks, why not give your hair the same treatment? With so many hair mask options coming on the market, hair care has never been as easy as slathering on a mask and leaving it overnight. You can go all natural with Canadian My Mane Care’s moisturizing hair mask (featuring a cruelty free formula with 100% natural, all vegan ingredients, like olive oil, coconut, and avocado) or you can go inexpensive with a drugstore brand, like L’Oreal Paris’ Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm (utilizing arginine-K to fill in split ends and porous openings in damages hair), or there is always the highly-touted a cult favourite: Macadamia Natural Oil’s Deep Repair Masque (which works to actually repair the damage done to dry hair, rather than temporarily fill the damaged spaces). Whichever solution you choose, your tresses will thank you for it. They might even be sad to see winter go. Image Credit: My Mane Care
