Palestinian-Dutch supermodel, Bella Hadid, has always showed her solidarity with Palestinians on social media, and was seen in New York City as she joined the protest against Israeli airstrike attacks last year. Following the recent Israeli violence towards Palestinians in Al-Aqsa Mosque, Jerusalem, she has used her platform to stand up for Palestinians and share awareness.
Hadid posted a series of videos showing graphic images and clips of Israeli forces attacking Palestinian worshippers, including women, children, and elders. She has shared that the social media platform shadow-bans her 'stories' whenever she posts about Palestine stating, “If you want me to stop talking, they should stop killing.”
She called out the platform, in a lengthy caption, for silencing her, writing “If you really would like to silence me, just like the journalists, or really anyone trying to educate about Palestine, Instagram, I will continue to come forward with peace, showing factual information about how the [Israel Defense Forces], Israeli government and Settlers attack innocent Palestinians for no reason, except for simply being Palestinian.”
Additionally, Hadid was featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine with an accompanying interview in which she spoke of her solidarity with Palestinians and condemned Israeli forces.
