Recap: Toronto Men’s Fashion Week

The eighth season of Toronto Men's Fashion Week (TOM*) was definitely one for the books! The three talent-packed days had fashion fanatics from all corners of Toronto congregating at One Yonge St. to mingle with some of the most biggest figures in the Toronto fashion industry and witness the incomparable talents of both prominent and emerging designers in Canada! Here are some of the major highlights of the past weekend!

1.) Shelli Oh's wonderful showcase of her men's collection on Day 1, which consisted of uniquely-toned dress shirts that are fresh to the common eye as well as unconventional cropped coats and blazers!

2.) Tweed's collaborative fashion show on the first day presented the best "Tweed" pieces of  Canada's top clothing designers.

3.) Filipino-Canadian designer Kenneth Barlis's fairytale collection on Day 2 reminded us of the movies Beauty & The Beast and Frozen!

4.) Mayer Man's highly-anticipated runway show on the second day completely embodied streetwear lux, which greatly obscured the line between casual and chic.

5.) To top off Day 2, Men's Fashion 4 Hope had the biggest celebrities of Canada competing for the best catwalk! The show also raised funds for the Kol Hope Foundation to help improve the lives and conditions of children suffering from congenital diseases.

6.) Rhowan James featured an amazing line of military-inspired outerwear, which certainly gave off Balmain vibes!

7.) Zane Barlas demonstrated how fine suiting is done in Canada!
