Walmart is Heading Towards Luxury

2260

Walmart is known for its low prices on anything from blenders to grocery items, but now the company is adding a luxurious element to it starting with fashion! The well-known department store will be collaborating with Lord & Taylor clothing that is set to launch as of Spring 2018 on the Walmart website and app. Walmart came up with the idea after they saw that online shoppers were frequently searching for higher priced items.

Amazon is definitely a main competitor with its thriving online fashion business, so Walmart has already hopped onto that bandwagon to attract more clientele beginning in the United States. Walmart currently carries great brands, such as ModCloth, the outdoor retailer Moosejaw, and the menswear brand Bonobos, but teaming up with Lord & Taylor would be a game-changer for the company.

There has not been any information released yet as to whether the items will be available in-stores or not, so stay tuned to find out this Spring! It appears that online shopping and e-commerce fashion is taking over. Get ready for the way of the future!
