H&M Launch: 2018 Conscious Sustainable Collection

1962

The retail company, H&M, just released their annual Conscious Sustainable collection on April 19. The exclusive collection was inspired by the home of 19th century artists, Karin and Carl Larsson. The 2018 campaign had us dreaming of a modern mid-century garden with the afternoon-sun beaming through the trees as the plants sway from the cool breeze.

The collection features intricate floral and swirl patterns in tones of green, white, and black. The main pieces from the campaign included 1940s-inspired long skirts, airy silk dresses and blouses, and oversized, single-breasted suits. Now on its seventh year, the collection continues to implement recycled fabrics with repurposed nylon and silver as the new materials in use for this year's collection.

The new collection proved that sustainability can be incorporated into high fashion through the styled pieces and into the consumers' wardrobe. The 2018 exclusive collection is now available in selected stores worldwide and online at hm.com
