By Priya Kumar Her name is Mackenzie Foy and she's starring in the final installment of the Twilight Franchise, Breaking Dawn Part II. She made her debut in San Diego this past weekend at Comic-Con International 2012 in front of an audience of hundreds of screaming Twihards. They were screaming so loudly in fact, the 11-year-old newcomer was seen covering her ears. For those of you not up-to-date with the series, Twilight is a little film franchise about a vampire family living in the small-town of Forks, Washington. Bella's the new girl in town and immediately falls for brooding bad boy Edward, played by Rob Pattinson. Fast forward three films, the two decide to wed-- I'll skip my thoughts on the absurdity of this, but she's barely out of high school for crying out loud and he's going to live forever so maybe someone who read the several thousand page series can fill me in on the reason for their hasty nuptials? Anywho, after becoming pregnant within minutes of their honeymoon, Bella gives birth in two weeks to a cute albeit demon baby who's eating her from the inside out. The birth is graphic and kinda gross, and Edward turns Bella into a vampire to save her life and their daughter, named Renesmee after both their mothers' names slammed together, is perfect. The final scene of Breaking Dawn Part I sees Jacob imprinting on the unworldly, then new-born little girl. Weird. We know. But he's supposed to be a wolf and Bella's no longer available right? My point being, Mackenzie plays the slightly grown up Renesmee. Isn't it cute (and kind of creepy) how she looks like both Rob and Kristen?
