By: Summun Jafri The Rani has found her Raja. On October 20, Lisa Ray was married to Jason Dehni, a banking executive and philanthropist. They wed in a beautiful outdoors ceremony in California’s Napa Valley. Lisa wore a white gown by Wendell Rodricks to the ceremony. Lisa said “my wedding gown is a present from one of my oldest, dearest friend, and is a perfect embodiment of my spirit in fabric and form”. Rodricks was aiming to create a dreamy and romantic look for Lisa, which he established using soft flowy fabrics, a relaxed silhouette, and net gloves. Rodricks expressed his joy for the bride saying “this dress is very special for me as it is for a brave friend who deserves every happiness in the world”. She opted for an off- white and beige georgette sari by Satya Paul for the reception. During the reception, about 110 wedding guests were treated to a reading of spiritual messages by Lisa’s old friend Devyani Saltzman. Guest were also treated to a tabla performance by Suphala and a live music which was written and performed by Tara Grand. The couple also hosted a pre-wedding sangeet ceremony on October 19th, where Lisa wore a design by Tarun Tahiliani. Lisa and Jason are currently honeymooning in Bora Bora. Congrats to the happy couple!
