The ex-wife of Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt graced the TIFF red carpet yesterday to promote the animated film "The Breadwinner" in which she co-produced. Jolie engaged in a photo op with five of her kids, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox, alongside director Nora Twomy and Saara Chudry who voices the main character of the film. This is her second public appearance since her split with Pitt.
The movie, which is based on the award-winning novel of Deborah Ellis, tells a story of Parvana who disguises herself as boy to support her family after her father gets captured by the Taliban. As a UN ambassador, Jolie sees the film as a significant approach to endorse the drastic effects of world chaos, with many young girls like Parvana serving as primary instruments to help their family in such difficult situations.
