A 12-year-old mentally disabled girl is facing critical condition after she was allegedly raped by school principal Aju Ahmad, of Kako secondary, and three teachers, Atul Rehman, Abdul Bari and Mohammed Shaukat. The incident took place in Bihar's Jehanabad district in eastern India. The girl's mother, who is a physical education teacher, was giving lessons at the time. She brought her daughter with her to work, as there is no one at home to take care of her. "She is my only child," the mother said. She realized that for a long period of time, her daughter was missing and when she went to investigate, her mother found her on top of the roof bleeding. She immediately took her daughter to the Kako police station where she gave her statement and was then referred to the Jehanabad Sadar hospital. She instead took the train to Patna and admitted her at the Patna Medical College and Hospital. The hospital's emergency ward did not accept her case, and she was then transferred to the maternity ward. According to Kusum Bharati, who is in charge of Jehanabad's women's police station, stated that a rape case has been launched against the suspect. They are currently on the run. As of now, the girl's mother plans to submit a complaint to the state education department. By Kelsey Seepersad
