Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra: Wedding Details

284

One of my most anticipated weddings of the year has finally happened! Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are now officially married.

This past weekend was full of celebration for the happy couple as they finally tied the knot. The couples' first interaction was a DM sent by Jonas via twitter back in 2016. They wouldn't make their  relationship public until May 2018, Announcing their engagement in August.

On Saturday the couple had a christian ceremony in Chopra's home country at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The ceremony was officiated by Nick Jonas' father, Paul Kevin Jonas, who is an ordained minister at an Assemblies of God church.

Stunning pictures of the wedding were shared by Nick Jonas on his instagram page, displaying the beautiful gown worn by Priyanka Chopra which was costume made by Ralph Lauren. The famous American designer also designed costume made attires for Nick and the rest of the wedding party. Ralph Lauren's twitter account tweeted their regards, "Congratulations to @PriyankaChopra and @NickJonas on the occasion of their wedding. Ralph Lauren is honored to have dressed the couple"

After the christian ceremony on Saturday, the couple hosted a Hindu ceremony on Sunday! The Hindu ceremony was filled with many live performances including performances by Nick and Joe Jonas. As Priyanka described on an Instagram post, "It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love." One of the most important aspects of this celebration is the binding of these two family and the merging and acceptance of both religions. Both christian and Hindu celebrations were enjoyed by both families. It's amazing to see love bring people, cultures and religion together.

From all of us at SHE Canada we wish nothing but happiness for the newlywed couple!
