Summer Trend Alert: Turbans

42

Trying to find a cute hairstyle for hot, humid weather has been such a drag lately. As soon as you step outside in the heat, your hair begins to frizz up and all that time you spent flat ironing just went to waste. Does this sound like you? Sounds like most women, to be honest. Unless you're blessed with incredibly soft, silky, untouchable hair, then the following recurring trend should not be overlooked.

It's so simple! Throw one on over your unruly head of hair and you're good to go. The best thing about turbans is that they're not only great for the summer, but also for the fall/winter seasons. In the summer, we suggest wearing light materials such as silk or chiffon. In the winter, however, heavier materials such as cotton or cashmere should be enough to keep your ears warm.

Several celebrities, designers, and fashion bloggers have been spotted on the streets this summer rockin' their turbans. From Missoni to Jean Paul Gaultier (the entire 2013 resort runway features turbans), and even Chanel's pre-fall runway, we are seeing them everywhere! And if you don't feel like spending the extra cash to buy into this trend, you can always just use a silk scarf that you most likely already have (we'll post a YouTube tutorial on it below).

Have fun with it!
