While he was already a superhero in many people's eyes, it has now become official.
On August 31, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be featured on the cover of issue No. 5 of Marvel's "Civil War II: Choosing Sides. He will be accompanied on the cover by Puck, Sasquatch and Aurora, who are members of Canadian superhero squad Alpha Flight as well as Iron Man who can be seen in the corner standing with his arms crossed.
Edmonton-born artist and writer Chip Zdarsky is the brains behind the comic and for choosing to feature Prime Minister Trudeau in it.
According to the CBC, Zdarsky was approached by Marvel to write a Alpha Flight story and said he knew right away he wanted to include Trudeau. The Prime Minister's character's name is Ulysses and he has the power to calculate the outcome of future events with a high degree of accuracy.
Justin is not the only Trudeau to be featured in a comic book, his late father, Pierre Trudeau also made an appearance in the comic "Uncanny X-Men" in 1979.
The comic will be available at the end of August, but for now can be pre-ordered through any local comic retailer, and is also available for digital pre-order through Marvel's Digital Store.
