Fashion & Beauty Brands Support Breast Cancer Research

Although the weather may make it hard to believe, it is here.

The month of October began this week which also marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Throughout the month there are various events and campaigns to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer. There are also initiatives taken by the fashion and beauty industry through partnerships to support the cause throughout the month.

American jewellery designer David Yurman has been working with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation for over seven years. This year, in dedication to the partnership with the foundation, Yurman has created the David Yurman Starburst Single-Station Bracelet with pink sapphires.

 

The bracelet can be purchased at Holt Renfrew, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, at David Yurman boutiques across Canada and at davidyurman.com for $475.00 CAD. Throughout the entire month of October, 20% of all of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

 The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) was actually founded by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1993. This October marks the 25th anniversary of the campaign and in support twelve of the Estee Lauder companies beauty brands are contributing to the cause through products or individual campaigns.

The companies include Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Darphin, DKNY, Jo Malone, La Mer, Lab Series, Origins, Smashbox, and Tom Ford.
