Chanel’s Flagship Store in Toronto has Opened and it is Beautiful!

2901

The Parisian brand Chanel has opened its Canadian flagship store in Toronto's classy Yorkville Village. The historic 150-year-old yellow-brick vintage building is located at 98 Yorkville Avenue. Chanel's luxurious clothing and accessories take over the two storey building and the photos have been released for a first look inside! The decor and overall colour scheme of the interior is the signature black, gold, and white. Most of the architectural details created by Peter Marino were actually inspired by Coco Chanel's apartment in Paris. How cool is that?

The first floor consists of accessories which includes iconic Chanel handbags, eye wear, scarves, shoes, and fine jewellery. The second floor is dedicated to Karl Lagerfeld's Ready-to-Wear collection and this is where shoppers get to experience the essence of the designer's Parisian home. The salons feature French artwork and decor, such as beaded lamps and a limestone fireplace. The Chanel High Jewellery is only seen in six other stores across North America. Due to its incredibly high value, the jewellery will only be sent to the Yorkville location twice a year, including during the Toronto International Film Festival.

The only way to see inside the building is by going inside. All of the windows are shuttered and no products are on display, creating a mysterious vibe. Who is ready to check out this work of art?
