Hello spring! When our calendar announces that the first day of Spring is upon us, we take it seriously, no matter the chill factor outside. It calls for packing away all the bulky outerwear we had to layer on through the winter, start planning and putting together our SS wardrobe. However, we do live in Canada and that means that the temperatures will nosedive on an occasion more than one, but since we'd bid adieu to winterwear till November, we still have to stay warm. This pick of the lot we have, makes sure we feel toasty while not compromising our sense of style. The key trends for Spring this year remain to be suede, denim, sneakers and flirty silk scarves. Add in a bit of leather for an edgy look to your outfit. For a luxe and sleek silhouette, nothing can beat the warmth of a cashmere turtleneck, it can be layered without the bulk of a chunky knit. We'll be seeing more and more of the cropped and flared denim, hovering just around the ankle, followed by footwear de jour...sneakers. And if you still don't have a piece of suede in your closet, now is the time to get one. A skirt, a jacket, or even a trench we're calling it the new wardrobe staple.
